This photo of stranded sea turtle, lucky to be saved,  is taken by Damir Musin, a biologist and scuba diver that lives in Korcula, who is involved in saving sea turtles that are stranded mostly by fisherman nets.

If you happened to be in Korcula and notice stranded sae turtle, here are the instructions what to do :

• Do not touch it. You will not help it by agitating it any further than it already is. Do not try to move it or put it back in the sea.
• If you can, cover the turtle with seaweed to protect it from the sun and wind.
• Call the Korcula Vet Surgery
• If you can, stay with the animal until someone arrives.
