Sveti Stas (pronounced ‘Stahs‘) Hill is on about the one and a half hour enjoyable walk from Korcula Town. If you decide to take a bus or taxi to Zrnovo, Postrana hamlet, the walk will take about 50 minutes. On this walk, you will see the green slopes of the Island, Korcula Channel as well as a Mljet island in the background.
Sveti Stash is at the altitude of 350 meters above the sea levels. Along the way to the hilltop, you will pass the Postrana hamlet, its vineyards and gardens, walk along the asphalted as well as tarmacked lanes bordered with pine woods and other vegetation including plenty of wild herbs.
On the top of the hill, you will see a small church of Sv. Stas. From there you can enjoy the lovely views over the eastern part of the Island.
There are no any cafes, shops or refreshment points, so take all you need in your rucksack.

Turn right sign to the narrow lane (another 600 meters to walk)
Winding lane and views from the path
Approach to the small church
Plateau with the Church – good place to sit on the bench for rest or refreshment
Wild Sage in full flower – I took this walk in the late spring – I usually collect the sage and dry it for use in cold winter months
Unusual formation on the pine tree – I am not sure what is this but looks like another plan is growing on the tree. You can see this tree just before your turn right towards the top of the hill. If you know what is this, please email me
