This 30 seconds video is shot at Pupnatska Luka bay last weekend, just a few days after strong Siloko/Jugo wind brought a lot of plastic bottles and other rubbish from the open sea on pebbles of this beautiful beach.
We went for a walk on the beach in the late afternoon and were surprised by the amount of rubbish (especially plastic bottles) that was there.
I talked to the local couple who live just above the beach and they told me that as soon as Bura (the wind that blows in opposite direction) arrives, all this rubbish will be blown back to the sea and the beach will be clean again (!?)
“Local people, who live in the area told us that as soon as Bura (the wind that blows in opposite direction) arrives, all this rubbish will be blown back to the sea and beach will be clean again .”
WHY DON’T THEY JUST CLEAN IT INSTEAD ? IT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER WITHOUT ALL THIS RUBBISH FLOATING AROUND IN THE SEA….THIS HABIT DOESN’T SOUND VERY ECO-FRIENDLY AT ALL
SO IF LOCAL PEOPLE DON’T CARE AND AUTHORITIES DON’T CARE MAYBE IN THE FUTURE TOURIST WON’T CARE TO COME ON THE ISLAND
i hope they will clean this soon.
it is shame.
Yes, they clean it all the time but sea waves bring rubbish and bottles all the time back more and more every year.
