Could you please confirm whether there is a ferry at 17.30 on Tuesday 18th May from Vela Luka which disembarks foot passengers at Hvar. Could you also please let me know what time the ferry arrives at Hvar.
Also with whom should I book tickets for a group of 37 adults?

First off, are there any companies that operate short 2 day sailing trips? We really want to sail but do not have enough time to take a week long trip and was hoping we’d have some options for just a few days.
Hi Adam, not that I know of – There are some rent-a boat agencies that rents boats including sailing boats for day or two, or more, but they dont provide skippers (to best of my knowledge)
Secondly, we are trying to go from Korcula to Hvar but the ferry times do not seem to coincide with our plans. Is there any other way to get to Hvar w/out having to go all the way to Dubrovnik that is convenient and reasonably priced? we only have a short amount of time and want to see lots of things while we are in your country but I was surprised to learn the ferry’s don’t run daily between korcula and hvar in the high season.
There is a early morning ferry catamara that sails every morning to Hvar – chek here : https://www.korculainfo.com/ferries/ferry-catamaran-korcula-hvar-split/
We wish to travel between Dubrovnik and Korcula Town on Saturday 11th September and between Korcula Town and Split on Wednesday 15th September.
Please can you tell me what our travel options are, e.g. ferries or buses, and whether we would have to book this travel before we arrived in both Dubrovnik and Korcula Town.
For travel between Dubrovnik and Korcula Town on Saturday 11th September you can use bus that leaves at 3pm every day from Dubrovnik, arriving in Korcula Town at 6.15pm.

For travel from Korcula to Split on 15.09.2010, you can use catamaran ferry : https://www.korculainfo.com/ferries/ferry-catamaran-korcula-hvar-split/ departing at 6am, arriving in Split at 9am.
None of these buses/ferries is necessary to book in advance.
I hope this helps 🙂
I shall be staying on Mljet in mid June and wonder if you can tell me whether it is possible to get boats from Mljet to Korcula for the day, mid-week.
I would prefer that to going on a formal tour from the Mljet hotel.
At the moment , the only available ferry from Mljet to Korcula, suitable for day trip is one that sails in July and August only:
Can have you the kindness to inform me if there are locals ferries, with transport of cars, between Drevnik and island of KORCULA on Wednesday, July 21st ?
How it is possible booking ?
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee this ferry line will operate again.
Therefore, at the present, I would suggest you not to use this ferry line as a part of plan for your trip to Korcula :-
From Korcula to Dubrovnik there is daily bus that departs at 3pm.
Dubrovnik to Korcula mid October (October 19 to be exact).
And then Korcula to Hvar, Hvar to Split.
It seems like the ferries just run certain days of the week (which don’t work for us).
Are the busses every day?
Don’t the busses need to get on the ferries?
thanks in advance for any info.
yes, all buses go on ferries to reach islands.
from dubrovnik to korcula take bus :
every day departs at 3pm from dubrovnik, arrives in Korcula at 6.30 pm

We wondered if there would be taxis available near the harbour which would take us to visit Vela Luka?
If so could you advise us of the approximate cost of the fare to Vela Luka and return to Korcula?

I am looking for a single room in Korcula, preferably something cheaper, not expensive one.
Single person occupancy at Marco Polo Apartments http://www.marcopolo-apartments.com
I would guess it is possible – depending how long you intend to stay in Korcula and what are your particular requirements regarding training..
Also , are you going to be in Korcula in summer or winter as there is no indoor swimming pool available for training 🙁
Thanks, but we want to go in the opposite direction on Oct. 7–Korcula to Dubrovnik. I would think there is a bus that way, too. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going by bus or by ferry?
daily bus leaves Korcula at 6.45 am and arrives in Dubrovnik at 9.30 am.
there is no regular daily ferry service from Korcula to Dubrovnik. ferry timetables are searchable at jadrolinija.hr website.

I was just wondering. Is it better to drive to Orebic and to take ferry Orebic-Korcula or to go to Drvenik (Ploce) and take ferry from those cities??
I’m not sure if it’s time consuming to cross the borders in Bosnia??
Bosnia border crossing is not time consuming, it’s pretty fast so if you are keen to drive , do take that route.
We want to go from Korcula to Dubrovnik on Saturday, October 7. What are our options? We would like take a bus. Is there one on that day, and, if so, at what time?
Thank you very much. I’m so glad to have found this site!
