Getting from Korcula to Dubrovnik there are several options you can get there by fast passenger direct ferry crossings, bus, taxi, water taxi, or private transfer. The distance from Korcula to Dubrovnik is 120 km. There are no direct flights and no train connections. Here is what is available:

How to get from Korcula to Dubrovnik

The best, cheapest and fastest way to reach Dubrovnik from Korcula is to take a fast passenger ferry (catamaran). You can get a fast passenger ferry from just one port on the island: Korcula town port. Ticket prices start from 70 Kuna (10 Euro). The total travel time is 2 hours. This option is best for foot passengers. If you are driving, there is no direct car ferry from the island to Dubrovnik. Other options include a bus to Dubrovnik, a taxi or private transfer as well as a water taxi.

Driving from Korcula to Dubrovnik

If you are traveling by car, there is no direct car ferry from the island to Dubrovnik. There is a car ferry from Korcula Town to Orebic that is sailing all year round. Once in Orebic, you will then drive across Peljesac Peninsula to Doli and turn right to continue along the coast to Dubrovnik. The total driving time (including ferry crossing) is 2 hours. If you are heading to Dubrovnik Airport, drive as above, and once you cross the bridge at the entrance to Dubrovnik drive straight ahead towards Dubrovnik Airport which is located in Cilipi. It is another 20 km distance drive (20 minutes). The total driving time to Dubrovnik Airport is about 2.5 hours (including ferry crossing).

Korcula to Dubrovnik by Passenger Ferry

There is at least 1 daily fast ferry getting from Korcula island to Dubrovnik. This is the early morning fast catamaran passenger ferry that arrives from Lastovo and proceeds to Dubrovnik. From April to October period, there are several more fast ferries – here is what is available:

Timetables for fast passenger ferries

  1. Korcula Town to Dubrovnik (daily fast passenger ferry) – early morning departure (7:30 am)
  2. Korcula Town via Pomena (Mljet National Park) to Dubrovnik – (May to October daily fast passenger ferry) – morning and afternoon departures
  3. Korcula Town via Pomena, Mljet to Dubrovnik – (April to October, daily) – morning departure
  4. Korcula Town via Sobra, Mljet to Dubrovnik – (June to September daily fast passenger ferry) – morning departure

All ferries depart from the Korcula old town piers (map) and take you to the Dubrovnik ferry port, Gruz (info and map), which is situated 2 km away from Dubrovnik‘s Old Town, right next to the main bus terminal (map). From there you can continue your travels further to Dubrovnik Airport by airport shuttle. Fast passenger ferries (catamarans) usually do not sail in bad weather. If that happens, take a bus instead. Korcula to Dubrovnik by Bus

There is a bus that departs daily (early morning) from Vela Luka, and drives across the island to Korcula Town, stopping in every village on its way. The bus continues to Dubrovnik, crossing the channel by car ferry, and stopping in every village on the Peljesac peninsula (map). It takes almost 3 hours to reach its destination. This option is good in case of bad weather when fast passenger ferries may not sail, otherwise, it is pretty slow. The bus stops at the main bus terminal where you can change for a bus to the Airport. Bus and ferry terminals are pretty close to each other (map).

by Water Taxi

You can also get a water taxi (private speed boat transfer) to take you from anywhere on Korcula island to Dubrovnik or to Cavtat, the nearest point to Dubrovnik Airport. The price for this service is calculated on basis of the number of passengers, pick-up time, and season. The standard rate for a water taxi is 495 Euro. At the present, there is no Uber service on the island. However, you can get a local taxi to take you to Dubrovnik or to Dubrovnik Airport. The price is calculated on basis of the number of passengers, pick-up time, and season. The standard rate to Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Airport is 1200 HRK (160 Euro). Get a quote for your taxi.
