I’ll be staying in Korcula for two weeks this summer and want to plan an overnight trip to Medjugorje.

Are there tour companies that leave from Korcula or Dubrovnik

Is taking the bus an option Hiring a private car Renting a car What would be the best way to do this

Thanks in advance for your help!

In my opinion the best is to rent your own car and drive to Medjugorje that will give you freedom to go and get back any time you want.

Erin, you can also conisder taking a bus however you have to change at least two buses each way to reach Medjugorje from Korcula. Buses to consider are either one from Korcula to Mostar and change there for Medjugorje or Korcula to Dubrovnik and get on bus there for Medjugorje. Shorter route is bus to Ston/Doli and change there for Mostar and another one to Medjugorje. This is shorter route but more complicated. If you drive, hire a car is the stright and easy for this trip.

Im not sure if you would consider day trip or excursion from Dubrovnik to Medjugorje as it will involve overnight in Dubrovnik; perhaps you can check what is difference in price staying for a night in Dubrovnik vs Medjugorje and then decide what is best for you; anyhow there are organised excursions / day trips from Dubrovnik to Medjugorje, it cost about 50 Euro and lasts about 11 hours

Going by bus to Dubrovnik and then by bus to Medjugorje is very long journey and not worth it if you dont expect to overnight in Dubrovnik. Bus to Medjugorje from Dubrovnik goes just once a day, about 5pm and comes back in the late morning
