Thanks, but we want to go in the opposite direction on Oct. 7–Korcula to Dubrovnik. I would think there is a bus that way, too. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going by bus or by ferry

there is no regular daily ferry service from Korcula to Dubrovnik. ferry timetables are searchable at jadrolinija.hr website.

Hello, Can you advise me please?

We arrive in Dubrovnik airport midday on Sunday 4 October, and want to travel to our accommodation in Korcula the same day. Does the bus run at 1500 on a Sunday in October? How long is the journey?

Also, we would like to travel from Korcula to Dubrovnik on Thurs 8 October, any time. Will there be a bus doing that route on that day?

I believe there will be no ferries on these days.

    Many thanks for your help!

We are trying to find the ferry schedule from Dubrovnik to Korcula from sometime between October 16th-24th 2009.

We are unable to find it on your website.

We are looking for exactly what Kate is. Dubrovnik to Korcula mid October (October 19 to be exact). And then Korcula to Hvar, Hvar to Split. It seems like the ferries just run certain days of the week (which don’t work for us). Are the busses every day? Don’t the busses need to get on the ferries?

thanks in advance for any info.

thanks for the info! When I looked on the website for the ferries there were no ferries on the days that we needed. That’s why I don’t understand how we can take a bus if the bus has to get on a ferry and the site says there are no ferries on those days?

Do you follow? I am sorry for being so dense about this!!

can anyone let me know if this itinerary seems do-able: ?

2 days in Dubrovnik, one full day in Korcula, one full day in Hvar, 1 1/2 days in Split? If it would be better to have more time (or less!) on one of the islands, we can change this. We are traveling late October so I am not sure if there is much to do on Korcula at that time. Are there bike rental places, hikes, etc?
    Any info would be appreciated.

    thanks.

Oh, yes, I know what you mean!
Ferry that takes bus to Korcula island departs from Orebic (small place on Peljesac Peninsula, very close to Korcula) and NOT from Dubrovnik.
Orebic-Korcula timetable and small map is here:

Also, one full day on the islands is good.
Less than that is not enough to see town, museums etc.
In late October, there is still possible to rent bikes, scooters etc.
Hiking – yes, why not? Even better then in summer, as it is not hot.

Are there any mid-day, late afternoon, or early evening departures on public transportation from Korcula to Dubrovnik? Have not found anything in the ferry and bus schedules. Or other possible ways, such as hooking up with the return of an excursion from Dubrovnik that is returning late in the day? Thanks for your assistance.
