AnonymousGuestHello,
I will be flying into Dubrovnik from Zagreb on Friday, April 9. I would like to immediately catch a bus from Dubrovnik to Korcula. The problem is that the bus leaves at 15:00 and my flight arrives at 14:50, so that only leaves ten minutes to travel from the airport to the bus station. Is the Dubrovnik bus station far from the airport? If so, we won’t be able to take that particular bus. Are there other buses we could take? Or, do you know of any other alternative transportation? Our last option would be to rent a car at the airport and drive to Korcula. If we were to drive, how do we cross from Orebic to Korcula- does the car ferry run often at that time of year? Basically, my question is what is our best option for travelling to Korcula then?
Thanks for your help!
Sarah 🙂

EditaKeymasterhi sarah,
dubrovnik airport is aprox. minimum 20 min drive from dubrovnik bus station, so you don’t realy have any chance to catch that bus.
if you would like to rent a car, you have plenty of time to reach orebic and catch the ferry to korcula. car ride will take you about 2.5 hrs and ferries are running at aprox. once an hour.
have a look at ferry timetables at
https://www.korculainfo.com/travel/
Another alternative is to cach any of the buses which will run from dubrovnik airport to korcula or orebic for package-tours tourists.
there is usualy few of them waiting for various travel companies.
they charge about 200 Kunas per person.

AnonymousGuestHi Sarah,
If You have not yet bought your ticket I’d suggest to fly from Zagreb to Split. There is a Catamaran leaving Split at 04.00 p.m. and gets into Korcula at about 06.35 p.m. The flight costs are aprox. the same as to Dubrovnik.

AnonymousGuestIt is a good idea about Split but catamaran has only limited number of seats, so I would still suggest you Dubrovnik airport as there are much more possibilities to come to Korcula form there
If you get stuck in Split it will take you ages to reach Korcula – have a look at the map!

AnonymousGuestThat is a good and flexible idea about catching a tour-package bus from Dubrovnik to Korkula City or even to Orebic then ferry across.
Could I ask for some more insight…
Obviously, there is the possibility to catch these buses at the airport where all the tourist are arriving. Are there “designated locations” near to the city center where I could find them too? For example, near the old town or bus station?
Do you know the names of some bus tour companies so that I can call and see if they can provide this service?
DO you know of private drivers that I could hire to drive me from Dubrovnik to Korkula?
Thanks! Your answers and ideas are very helpful!

EditaKeymasterSimon, those buses and mini-buses don’t usualy go through city of Dubrovnik. They drive straight to Korcula or Orebic.
It is unlikely you can catch them unless you are on the airport.
From Dubrovnik you can take bus or ferry to Korcula – have a look at our travel page :

AnonymousGuestHello,
I would also like to travel to Korcula from Dubrovnik airport on September 4th but am worried that if I can’t find a mini-bus or coach at the airport then I’ll be stranded. 😥
Our flight arrives at 15:05 which will be too late to catch a ferry or local bus.
Do you know how much a taxi would cost if it came to it?
Is there any way of booking onto one of the package tours mini-buses or coaches in advance (for peace of mind)?
Many thanks,
Simon

EditaKeymasterHi Simon,
The cheapest taxi I found from Dubrovnik Airport to Korcula is about 1200 Kunas. They take up to 8 people (mini bus).
It is a good price for larger group of people, but too expensive for couples or single travellers.
As this is weekend and people are not in their offices, I am still waiting for some other taxi companies as well as package-tours companies to come back to me with prices, so within a day or two I will have a bit more clear picure.
Stay tuned for further info…

AnonymousGuestThank you!
It’s just my girlfriend and I who are travelling and so a smaller taxi might be better (depending on cost).
Thanks again for your help – it’s much appreciated.

AnonymousGuestAll this info is really good!
I’m arriving in Dubrovnik (from London) tomorrow at 3.05 pm and would really like to get to Korcula straight away. So we will try the tour operator buses…. let’s cross fingers!
Otherwise it’ll have to be a taxi if we decided we can afoard it or we’ll have to spend a nigth in Dubrovnick and we haven’t booked anything yet!
If I find a better way I’ll post something up on my return! If you ahve any good recommendations on where to stay in Korcula then that’ll be great!

AnonymousGuestHi, I am arriving in Dubrovnik on the 22nd may, i would like to know what route the bus (15:00 departure) takes to get to Korcula – does the ferry leave the city of Dubrovnik?
If that is the case is there a bus service to Orebic, and then get a ferry from there?
Is there a frequent service and how much would it cost, and which way would be quicker?
Thanks alot

AnonymousGuestHi,
I am travelling to Dubrovnik on 30th May and am also wanting to get straight to Korcula.
My flight arrives at 2.50pm and Ive been told by Atlas that their are no ferries after this time, they leave at 8am each day, so the best thing would be to catch the local bus into dubrovnik for the evening and the ferry that leaves from Dubrovnik in the morning is 9euro.
I would love to get straight to Korcula from the airport, so if anyone can shed some more light on this I would be very greatful……
thanks
