Hello!
We are going to Croatia next August.
From Dubrovnik, we will go by car to Korcula, along Peljesac until Orebic, and from there we will take the ferry to Korcula, where we will spend two days.
My question is about going back to the coast because from Korcula we will go to Split.
What is the best way to go back to the coast to go to Split Should we go from Korcula to Orebic and from Trpanj to Ploce
Or should we go from Korcula directly to Drvenik I am not sure what would be the best way?
I know, probably the best option is to take the ferry directly from Korcula to Split, but we would like to go along the coast and do some stops.
I have another question :
Should we book the ferry before taking it (it will be august) or it is easy to find a place once there
And are the tickets sold directly at the port, or is better to buy them anywhere else
Thank you in advance for the information.
Hi Carol,
If your priority is to see the coast, then you should not take the ferry to Drvenik, but drive… but if your priority is to come to Split as soon as possible, then the ferry to Drvenik is a very good choice.
It is hard to say what is the best way – all ways work, and it really depends on what you need….
You can not book local ferries in advance – it is first-come – first serve bases.
Also, it can get very busy in summer, so sometimes there is a long queue for local ferries.
