Strecica is a small bay on the western side of Korcula Town, located just after Sveti Nikola street along the way to Novi Puti. Once on the crossroads, turn right downhill to follow the road along the sea shore. The bay is encircled by the row of nice, detached houses with terraces and gardens overlooking the Channel. Facing North, this bay is fully opened to the Maestral and Bura winds that bring a nice breeze on the hot summer days. There is a small local corner shop in Strecica that works in summers only.
The beach here consists of rocks, concrete slabs and jetties good for jumping and sunbathing. The clean and crystal clear waters of lovely colours are great for swimming. A windsurfers paradise.
A small (an ugly) industrial estate at the very end of the bay doesn’t really effect the beauty of this bay as it is located more uphill, far from the sea shore. The neighbouring bay is Medvinjak
