Restaurant Konoba Grubinjac is a small konoba – farmhouse restaurant located in Grubinjac near Zrnovo – one of the most beautiful panorama spots around Korcula Old Town.

A restored old farm house run by a local family that owns this beautiful farm for centuries the konoba is recently modernized to make it suitable for visitors.

The rustic atmosphere and rural settings. Sitting on its terrace feels like miles away from the busy Korcula Town.

What I really like about this restaurant and what makes it unique and different is its location with uninterrupted views over below hills, Sveti Antun, Mountain Sveti Ilija, Peljesac Channel, Badija and Korcula Archipelago.

As far as food and drink are concerned, at Grubinjac they do grilled meals, cooked meals, snacks and vegetables as well as their own, home-produced wine and usual soft drinks.

I often come here as a stop-off on my way from Zrnovo to Korcula to have a drink and quick snack or a glass of wine and ‘slane gere‘ (a salted fish snack).

It is usually in late afternoons or early evenings – I sit and watch light setting off over Korcula Archipelago, and the moon coming up behind Vrnik and Lumbarda hills. At this time of the day, the restaurant is not as busy as a bit later when it tends to attract a lot of people. (So, if you are planning to have a romantic evening meal here, booking of the table is advisable.)

Grubinjac is on a reasonable walking distance from the Town, though I would suggest you take a taxi back ( if you plan to stay until late) as the road from Grubinjac to Korcula has only limited public lighting, has no pavement/ footpath and could be busy. Although on clear nights with moonshine walking from here to Korcula feels like walking in the daylight.
