Ston, the small & pretty town on Peljesac Peninsula is featured in one of the promotional posters published by Croatian Tourist Board, as part of tourism promotional campaign Croatia – The Mediterranean As It Once Was. The author of photograph is Ivo Pervan, a well known Croatian photographer who took a photo, showing saltworks in Ston, from the aeroplane. Ston, a well known for it’s oyster production as well as for its salt works that produce sea salt for centuries, is a popular stop-over place for people travelling from Dubrovnik to Korcula.
