Plokata
Plokata aka Trg 19 Aprila Square is the main square in Korcula Town. It is located next to Kopnena Vrata (Vrata od Grada) entrance to Old Town and Rotonda, the fresh fruit and veg market, on the way to Biline, Punta Jurana and Borak.
It has several cafes – Bistre, Arula (ex Mljecni Restoran) that are very popular with locals for their regular daily coffees and drinks.
Favourite restaurants at this square are Planjak and Skver
If you sit somewhere on Plokata you won’t miss any local gossip or anecdote or any of local latest news. Early mornings are the best.
This square is also favourite place to sit and eat your ice cream on the low wall near small (and ugly) fountain.
