Plans for new ferry terminal in Vela Luka

Good news for all of us who travel to Korcula Island using ferries from Split , Hvar or Lastovo to Vela Luka, a place on western coast of Korcula island.

News has come that plans for new ferry terminal in Vela Luka are agreed few days ago. The new location of ferry terminal is at the place where fish processing factory ” Jadranka” used to be (see below map)

The beggining of the works is expected to start in September with intention for completion by the end of 2012.Funds for new terminal are provided by Croatian state budget.
