Orlandusa beach is located in the small bay on the southern shores of the Island in Defora region.
The beaches are made up of white pebbles/shingles with some rocky parts of the bay along its sides. A popular activity in the bay is snorkeling (see photo below)
Being one of the remote bays on the island, waters are here clean and transparent making this bay well-liked by locals as well as (some) tourists.
Facing South-West, the bay is sunny from midday onwards. Natural shade is provided by several mature pine trees on the eastern side of the beach and bay.
Due to its location, this beach is completely sheltered from the Maestral and Bura while open to Siloko/Jugo winds. (check Windrose of Korcula).
The access to the bay and beach is via narrow, partly asphalted – partly tarmac road leading from Zrnovo via Postrana towards Defora region (see visitors map)
Once you reach the crossroads in Postrana, the road is leading uphill then turn right at another crossroads and follow the road signs downhill through the wooded parts and vineyards towards the coast. At a certain point, you would need to proceed on foot via a small path through the wood/field, and walk further 200 meters to reach the beach. There is no immediate car access to the beach.
The distance to Orlandusa from Korcula Town is about 9 km and from Zrnovno 5 km.
There are no cafes/restaurants/shops in the bay so bring your own refreshment. Parasol or beach shelter is also recommended in the summer months.
