Marco Polo Challenge 2011- Korcula’s first SPRINT triathlon

Sign up for Korcula island’s first sprint triathlon – 30.04.2011 – A race in the most spectacular setting – a beautifully preserved medieval town perched on the Adriatic sea with rich pine forests nestling behind. Join in the fun. Raise money for charity. Be healthy. Challenge yourself!

The event is open to everyone including professional and amateur triathletes, adventure racers and charity challengers, teams (for the relay race) and local schools.

A whole array of supporting events and parties are planned for the weekend and week following to get the 2011 summer season off to a flying start.. Event and registration details will be available at the website www.croatiatriathlon.com

Sprint distances are : 500 m swim…..in the crystal clear Adriatic sea, 20 km bike… amidst the rich pine forests, 5 km run…. through a beautifully preserved medieval town…

The event is being organised by the Town of Korcula and Lesic Dimitri Palace, in association with Triathlon Klub Split.

        Looking so much foreward to being in the beautiful city of korcula again .Waiting to enter the tri ,and 2 others are coming with me from fremantle western australia .Cant persuade them to compete ,but ill need lots of encouragement up that hill that rises above the citt -part of the bike course??
