Image of Korcula Old Town was used for creating this cute vintage stamp, issued by post office (PTT) back in 1970’s, at the time of former Yugoslavia.
The images shows Sveti Marko Cathedral with surrounding area, including Small Governor’s Tower.
The stamp was designed by D. Cudov, who also created numerous other stamps from that period.
The price of the stamp was reduced from 26 to 20 Dinars (the official currency at the time) which is, in comparison with today’s inflation, pretty amusing ( !)
