Jadrolinija is to build four new ferries

Jadrolinija

Jadrolinija, the largest, government-owned Croatian ferry company has signed a contract to build four new ferries in Pula‘s Uljanik shipyard.

The public tender for the construction of 4 double-ended ferries was finalized last week and the contract worth 32 million Euro has been awarded to Uljanik.

New ferries, deployed to serve Croatian ferry lines will be 100 meters long and able to accommodate up to 616- foot passengers and up to 145 cars and other vehicles.

The completion and deliveries of all four ferries are expected by the beginning of the tourist season 2014 (May 2014).

Great ferry news – It has been a long time since ‘Bodulka’ – the first ferry in Croatia 🙂
