Korcula Sport - Sporting Activities in Korcula

Swimmers at KPK Club

Island of Korcula is a very pleasant to have all sorts of sporting activities one would expect to have at Mediterranean island. Korcula is not only about swimming an sunbathing - you can do here various other things too... Check on bellow links to see which other facilities are in and around Korcula...

There is also a well organized local Korcula Swimming and Water polo Club 'KPK' that has it's own open-air sea water swimming pool located in the very centre of Korcula Town. Most of Korcula's kids and youths spend their summer holidays swimming and playing water polo there, as those sports has a long and well established tradition in Korcula.

The club has very welcoming culture, so if you are swimmer or water polo player, do go and talk to people there - we are sure you will be welcome to join some of their training sessions..

Olympic size indoor swimming pool to be built in Korcula: According to the announcement of the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development , the construction of the new Olympic size indoor swimming pool in Korcula will start in 2008 and is expected to be finished by 2009.
