Hey, what’s going on with your stupid bridge? :-) . The Croatian gov’t announce yesterday that it was “postponing” the construction (i.e. the project is dead). Did you guys get scared by Bosnia’s threat to sue from two months ago? Go build a bridge in your own backyard, silly :) .

Why not build a cheap floating bridge? Then it can be sold off and towed away once Croatia and Bosnia are in the EU, ie once transit rights are secured.

    Peljesac Bridge project slowing down

Building of the Peljesac Bridge in southern Croatia has been slowed down due to the recession, Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Bozidar Kalmeta has said.

He said today (Tues) the bridge that will connect the mainland and the peninsula of Peljesac would be completed by the year 2015, the news website Dubrovniknet has reported.

Peljesac Bridge, which at 2,374 metres in length will be the second longest in Europe,
    will be four lanes wide.
