Peljesac Bridge public tender announced
The public tender for Peljesac Bridge has been announced.
Hrvatske Autoceste are looking for offer from construction companies to build the the bridge which cost is expected to be about 260 milion euros.
The tender will last for 78 days. The works are expected to start sometimes later this year. The 21 meters wide bridge will have two road tracks. It will be 2.2 kilometers long. The completion is expected by 2011.
As the Croatian mainland is intersected by a small strip of Bosnian coast around the town of Neum, the bridge will also physically connect the southernmost part of Dalmatia (Dubrovnik region) with the rest of Croatia.
