The comet was located on 15 degrees north of Venus.
As they informed local newspapers, it is not really known which kind of comet is this.
The only info local astronomers could provide is that Comet appeared at the sky above our planet sometimes in August last year and due to its parabolic route, it will never come back near our Planet again.
The work begins at the second phase of reconstruction and refurbishment of Hotel Marco Polo in Korcula, in which the local hotel company ?Hotelsko Turisticko Poduzece Korcula? will invest 23 million Kuna.
A brand new outdoor and indoor swimming pool will be also constructed as well as fitness and wellness club.
After the renovation, of which the completion is expected in mid May 2007, Hotel Marco Polo will get its 4 star tag and become the most luxurious hotel on the Island of Korcula.
This is a brand new thing coming all the way from Copenhagen. Next summer, visitors to capital of Denmark will have a new way to book accommodations with prime views of Copenhagen’s harbour.
The CPH Living Hotel is the country’s first floating hotel. The 12-room structurec( click for extra large photo), which looks something like a high-tech houseboat, features rooms with private terraces, great views and interiors designed by up and coming local artists.
The restaurant that is floating next door will provide room service to guestrooms…
I think this innovative way of accommodation would be perfect for our small harbour.
If nothing else, at least this could mess up our harbour even more and be some kind of competition to overwhelming cruisers.
I was browsing throught the various Korcula video clips at youtube.com, and found recently uploaded one , made entirely of still images.
The source of these still images is not mention, although I can recognize, at least some of the images, as photos that are already published at various websites.
The video is done in the pleasant manner, with soothing music in the background, but I find it way to long (almost 7 minutes).
Last week, Peljesac got a new wine society called ?Pelje?ki vinski puti?, which translates as Peljesac Wine Roads.
The society?s aim is to improve communication between Peljesac wine producers, as well as offering Peljesac?s visitors a chance to get to know the local wine production.
The head office of the Peljesac Wine Roads society will be in Kuna, small village in interior area of the Peninsula, which is, beside Potomje, Dingac and Trstenik, also well known for its wine production.
The location will be at the hills above Ponikve (a small village near Ston) between hamlets Boljenovi?i and Dan?anj.
This wind farm will be the third one that is built in Croatia. Other two, already in use, are Sibenik - Wind Farm on Trtar-Krtolin hill (Vjetropark Trtar-Krtolin) and wind farm Ravne I at Island of Pag.
Allegedly, the new Peljesac Wind Farm project (Peljesac Vjetropark) is in the phase of obtaining all necessary paperwork, and building work is expected to start next year.
The wind farm will be built by German-Croatian wind farm planners and wind energy company Enersys and the cost is expected to be about 35 million Euros (loads of zeros!)
Peljesac Wind Farm / Wind Park will be the biggest one yet to be built in Croatia . It will have 17 wind generators with power of 34 MW.
They will produce 100 GWH per year, which is enough energy to cover all energy needs for about 30000 homes ? so the whole area of Dubrovnik- Neretva County can have this enviromentally friendly electricity
Each wind turbine pillar will be 65 meters height . The turbines / rotors / ellipse will have diametar 70 meters .
I checked Enersys website www.enersys.info and found some really nice images of wind farms.
