New Ferry Terminal Perna Orebic - Korcula update

The new project of building a ferry terminal in Perna, near Orebic at Peljesac Peninsula is progressing according to the schedule.
It is expected that building works on new ferry terminal?in Perna that will serve the ferry Orebic to Korcula?will begin sometimes towards the end of this year.?
The cost of the whole project is expected to be within the region of 20 milion kuna. Click here for photo of boat that is at the moment drilling sea bottom near Perna, as part of preparation works for new terminal.
In the meantime, while the new ferry terminal is in preparation, Jadrolinija, the Croatian ferry company,??is introducing larger and faster ferry vessel to serve the Orebic - Korcula ferry line.
The new vessel will be capable of carring over 100 vehicles accros the Peljesac Channel which?will significantly shorten queues and traffic jams that sometimes form at both side of the channel. As soon as I know?details of new vessel I will post it here… Stay tuned…

Hi,
The photograph of the boat taking samples is at the western end of Perna, by the Komodor, but the map showing the position of the new terminal shows it at the eastern end, between Perna and Orebic……is this correct ?
Best regards, Andy
