This amazing winter panorama photo of Korcula Town is  ”stitched” from 2 photos taken yesterday from Peljesac by Milan Tolj. I decided to stitch them and adjust some settings to get this great large panorama image of yesterday’s Bura in Korcula. The author of photograph is Ivo Pervan, a well known Croatian photographer who took a photo, showing saltworks in Ston, from the aeroplane.

Ston, a well known for it’s oyster production as well as for its salt works that produce sea salt for centuries, is a popular stop-over place for people travelling from Dubrovnik to Korcula.

New Korcula Live Web Camera is the lateset addition to this site. Since this morning, the new webcam, located at Villa Sole terrace in Soline bay, Korcula shows islands Badija, Planjak and Baretica, the area called Jezevica in Skoji – Korcula Archipelago.

Milan Tolj is amateur photographer from Orebic, who regularly uploads photos of Peljesac Channel and Korcula Town to our KorculaInfo.com Facebook fun page.

Milan is lucky to live in Borje, a small hamlet about 8 km od Orebić, a stretch of coast that has great views over the Skoji Archipelago, so his photographs often feature views over Stupe – the small island with very good restaurant or over Setrice – a cute island with romatic lighthouse.

The above image is ‘print screen’ of series of Milan’s sunset photos of well known vista towards Sv.Ivan horn on Peljesac Peninsula. The series is presented in timelapse – relaxing and romantic manner.

Darko Rom is photographer from Split, who regularly uploads photos of Korcula and its surroundings to our Korcula Facebook community page.

Although all of his photos are of great quality, the photo I particularly like is above one, taken from the aeroplane by Darko on sunny day, flying above Raznjic – the very eastern part of Korcula Island.

The title of the photo is “Tamo di anđeli odmaraju krila” which can be translated as “Where the angels rest their wings” (due to that little cloud in the background, I guess).

The photo also shows Lumbarda and its Vela Przina and Bilin Zal beaches as well as Grk vineyards.

While going though a box of my old photos, I found this photo of me and my mum at Vela Przina Beach in Lumbarda.

The photo was taken by some German tourists who visited Lumbarda at the time and befriended my parents.

This is just another proof that webmistress of this site has long experience with tourism and knowledge of local beaches
