About www.korculainfo.com

Edita

Who's behind this page, you might wonder !? Well, this website is the sole project of me, Edita Pecotic, a born and bred Korculan.

I started with KorculaINFO.com, the Travel Guide to Korcula, back in 2003 - the website began as my tribute to Korcula, the place I was born and grew up in as a show of my particular admiration of it.

Later the site developed into a Travel Guide that is dedicated to visitors to Korcula, and serves as a intro to Korcula written by somebody who really knows what is going on here!

I run more - or - less regular Korcula Travel Blog where I try to keep updates with current issues regarding travel to Korcula. Sometimes I add some presonal stuff, like this funny occasion or this less funny one ...

Here, I also use my photos of Korcula as Korcula and myself work well as a model and an artist (link to My Art Pages) and the proof is in the beautiful pictures of the ancient town you can see here. They have been taken at different times and in different situations, but the common denominator is that they are all eye-pleasing and just make you want to rush to the venue and experience yourself the beauty of the town of Korcula and the island.

Korcula is very inspirative to write about, especially if you have views as I have - check here - Even lighting and bad weather can be fun and inspirative in Korcula - check here :-)

This website is an ongoing project – with new material and info being added on a daily basis as I am trying to make this site packed with all the info that a traveller heading to the island and the town of Korcula might need.

If anything is missing I am always here to fill you in on the details and can give you unbiased advice on your Korcula travel queries.

Don't forget that I am also a fingertip away for any bookings you might need in Korcula. So, if you would like to contact me, please email . I will be happy to hear from you..

Here are some comments I recevied in emails:

" Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our visit to Korcula and to thank you for arranging the accommodation! Korcula is a very beautiful island, Hotel Park is in a great location and our hotel room had a fantastic view across the harbour! I am sure we will visit the island again in the future" - P. Buchingham, UK

"Just a quick note to say thanks and to let you know that we had a great time in Korcula and really enjoyed staying at Ksenija's house cheers " J. Ivkovich, Australia

" Korcula was lovely. We really enjoyed swimming, snorkelling and generally wandering about. The Hotel Park was pretty much as expected given the cost. Fantastic location with beautiful outlook, very helpful and friendly reception staff, but pretty basic accommodation... Most people were really welcoming... All in all it was a super holiday. Thanks for dealing with the hotel booking for us." - M. Cheyne, UK

" And thanks for a fantastic website - you have provided such good information and I have found and booked lovely accommodation, and made sure I mentioned that I found it on your website!" - Elaine

" I had a very good time in Korcula (and elsewhere in Croatia). This was my first trip since 1989, and I'm sure I'll be going back next year (hopefully the building boom won't have covered the whole island in concrete by then!). The only disappointment was the food (and this wasn't just on Korcula). In a country with excellent produce of all kinds in the local markets, what was on offer in the restaurants was surprisingly dull and/or poor. That said, we had great picnics." - G. Sounders - UK
